Currently, BAHS provides the only dental services in Bourke, with the two main service providers for the first six months of 2014, being:-
- RFDS –provide a weekly dentist on a Friday and a therapist who sees children on a Thursday. This service is open to all clients, although clients who do not have a Healthcare / Pension Card, are required to pay.
- The Dental and Hearing Service – are a private service who commenced services at BAHS in February 2014, as part of a partnership with the Bourke and Brewarrina Shires to provide dental services to private fee-paying clients. They provide 2 days per fortnight and the POCHE Centre funds 2 days per fortnight for the Dental and Hearing Services to see ATSI clients.
- The Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) - will provide a dentist to fill the gaps if they have a dentist available. They only see clients with a Healthcare / Pension Card.
- BAHS employs a Dental Assistant who coordinates and assists with all dental activities, and a Trainee Dental Assistant / Aboriginal Health Worker commenced early 2014
